My HP882c deskjet printer which was working well for over a year suddenly will no longer print in color. It will copy something in color ,but it will not print anything from my files or the internet in color. It prints OK but everthing comes out in black & white. Can some please tell me what I might do to solve this problem.?
What O/S? In Windows 98 click Start->settings->Printers select your printer and right click on it and select properties. Go through all the options until you find a setting that deals with monochrome and color printing - make sure its set to print in color and not in black only.
I am using Windows XP pro.All settings were correct for color.I should mention that I also tried reinstalling the printer. After reinstalling it printed one item in color, then it wouldnt print in color again.
What do you mean it will copy in color? Is it not just a printer? Do things are should be be color come out in black? Have you priinted a windows test page?
Yes ,things that should be in color come out black.Test page also comes out black. When I make a copy of something thats in color by scanning it & then printing it the printer will print the color correctly. Thanks for the reference to the HP site.Ihad already tried that unsucceessfully.
