Every time my computer starts up I get this error message from HP Advisor:

    Please set registry key
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\.NETFramework\InstallRoot to point to the .NET Framework install location

I have no idea what this means or how to fix it. Please help!

Are you using Windows XP or Windows Vista? Your "computer specifications" says Windows Vista, but you're in the Windows XP forum.

What's the exact model number of that HP Pavilion dv4? If you don't know for sure, advise what the product number on the sticker is.
