Go to this site and on the bottom of the page a layout is presented. I replaced all the necesary values but the text of what I've written flows over the borders of my pictures in the background. What values in the HTML do I change so that the text starts and stops at a certain point (within the boundaries of my picture borders)?

From what i can see, you're talking about making it so that the text in

HTML:
<center><b>.:. CONTENT HEADER HERE .:.</b></center><br><br>

Make sure you fill out the CSS properly. I have put "INSERT [whatever] URL HERE" in the places you have to edit.

</td></tr></table>
doesnt overflow....i think?

I think what you want is a DIV layer..have you ever trying a WYSIWYG editor? =]

WYSIWYG editors are programs that allow you to create websites while doing little coding, or no coding for simpler sites. Dreamweaver is a big one, its the only one ive ever used, but there are others. Dreamweaver isnt free btw :D

Anyways, I will copy your site's source and try to fix it up for you..

So excatly what do you want moved? You want the text thats written at the bottom to be put below the picture, instead of starting beside it I assume?

ok, you see where it says "link here" a couple of times? its running over my image border (the dark pink). and you see where it says "testing testing..."? it also runs over the same border on the other side. can you make it so that the "link here" text starts after the dark pink border and ends before the it as well? and make it so that the content area ends before hitting the dark pink border.

thanks sooo much if your willing to do this ^^. if you want ill put credit to you however you want.

That site fails validation on 49 counts so the code is not worth using as a 'template'

Have a look at www.strictlycss.com
a collection of CSS articles and tips, and it's a CSS directory/gallery for websites that are designed with CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) and conform to the web standards and good design practices.
I'm guessing, by the Gal in your name, that you might be interested in cssprincess.com

CSS Princess is project with the main idea for promoting and supporting beautiful and interesting css sites made by woman’s hand or woman’s touch. It’s well known that women designers have special sensibility which they always put in their work, and main idea of web site gallery created by cssprincess.com is to show the best web sites worldwide which have a woman’s touch in their design.

WarriorGal, you should check out CrimsonEditor in my signature. You should learn HTML and code websites by hand, because you will learn a lot more and be able to diagnose problems easier. But WYSIWYG editors sometimes help, like in this case, when you need to see where things are going as you edit them. But really, look into Crimson editor, which is basically a notepad on steroids, and look into learning HTML. (y)

If you thought that my comment 'that site fails validation' was about the code you posted, then I'm sorry

I'm not that rude, honest (at least, not on purpose)

I was talking about http://eonlightvalley.com/photoshoplayouts.php, written by someone who, it seems, suffers from delusions of grandeur:
<!-- I'm all about going for shortcuts -->

<!-- But honestly -->

<!-- Quit viewing my source and go away -->

<!-- You can view my coding for learning purposes and as a guide -->

<!-- But you CANNOT copy it exactly or similarly -->

<!-- I will be able to tell if you do -->

<!-- And I WILL make sure your website goes down if you copy anything from EV -->

<!-- A good webowner would never deliberately steal someone else's hard work -->

<!-- So quit being a noob and go away -->
Ha!

Umm... I hope I didn't start a conflict here... I'll look up CrimsonEditor and CSS Princess. No worries =D

Maybe this is a bad time to ask but as my HTML skills aren't too great... did you like the images I used for the layout? =D Its pink but I think its not too unpleasant to look at.
