My bank's initial login screen where they want me to put my userid and password shows http:// when I press the login button with the user id and password fields filled in.

It immediately returns my account information on an https:// screen.

They claim this is secure. Is there a way to turn on the SSL before my userid and password go out over the wire? I use a dial in connection via Earthlink.

    Is this a dumb question?

    Thanks in advance
