This is Strange to me.

I have a Dell laptop connected to a lynksys wireless router, along with 13 others. For some reason none of the web browsers installed on the laptop will connect to any web site. I thought it may be a DNS issue, but all the other machines can connect to any site. The laptop in question can ping any web site I want, and it is relolving domain names, just not connecting on port 80. any insight would be great

Thanks

Do you have the WinXP Service Pack 2 installed? If so, you might want to try uninstalling it, and see if that fixes the problem. When I tried using the SP2, it stopped my Acer laptop accessing the internet over a network.

[Edit] It is probably best to get a second opinion first, just in case...

Yup, Had it, and dumped it, Funny thing about windows service packs, the even ones stunk, and the odd ones were decent. I have not looked at the thing in a week or so, I am gonna try messing with it now that I am not so frustrated. Thanks for your reply
