To all of you who are positng in those Italian language threads, I strongly recommend you discontinue it. While I (we the moderators) can stop foriegn language threads on the basis that I (we) cannot moderate in a different language, I (we) cannot stop our Italian friends from posting stupid threads in English anymore than I can stop anyone else from posting a thread on the basis that its stupid (as much as I would love to do that!)
Take my strong advice and help the site by NOT POSTING IN ANY OF THESE THREADS!. I believe you all know what and who I am talking about.
--------------------------------------------------------------
I haven't been on RANDOM for a few days and I seem to have missed something.
Now, we're not supposed to participate in threads in Italion because YOU are unable to moderate, censor and control them?
(you could copy/paste into online translations, or ask someone who knows Italion, if it's that important to you!)
I guess I missed the fact that you are (somehow) a "moderator" here?
And, for some reason I thought (mistakenly I guess) that Random Discussion was "for all of us". Like we could write and discuss what we wanted in a more free way. Not getting censored, deleted, ruled "off topic", etc. That's why it was so nice. Just a free flow of people saying whatever they wanted to say, and others having a choice in responding to it, (or not).
I guess what really "got" me about your post is, you "strongly advise" us not to participate in anymore threads (that you aren't able to understand and control) and then CLOSE THE THREAD!
You also close the thread where you say this (if it's not the same one?) cutting off all further communication about it.
I don't think this is what a "discussion board" is.
Regardless of what the thread was about (in whatever language) I resent being controlled and told what I can/can't read and participate in. I know, you are only "strongly advising" this, but this implies we are NOT to do it. Even though we seem to be given a choice. And, you have the power to close threads and/or edit/delete, etc.
Whatever was being said (or you THINK is being said) in Italion can't be as terrible as this.
I really liked this board and the free-flow of this topic, in spite of the "personal messages with warnings" I received when I first started writing in it.
But, all of a sudden I don't like it anymore.
I know, I'll be just one person, who is choosing not to be censored and controlled by what someone else has DECIDED is how it should be.
But I still have the choice to participate here or not.
Oh, if you have anything to say to me about this, please post it here, on the board where I wrote about it. Out in the open where others can also read it.
Even though there doesn't seem to be anone who will judge and censor you and what YOU want to write.
