What files - you didn't list any ?
brbpab94 was talking about the lines in the hijackthis log like this one:

O9 - Extra 'Tools' menuitem: @xpsp3res.dll,-20001 - {e2e2dd38-d088-4134-82b7-f2ba38496583} - %windir%\Network Diagnostic\xpnetdiag.exe (file missing)

There are several in the report and brbpab94 wants to know if it is ok to put a checkmark next to them and let highjack this fix or delete them. Anyone have the answer???

Hi, No please do NOT use hijackthis yourself.

Hijackthis often displays "file missing" items when they are not actually missing from the system, they are missing at startup in this user account and sometimes needed.

Just about every XP HJT log has the same for xpnetdiag.exe-- this is what it is from:

http://forum.sysinternals.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=8764&PN=1&get=last

http://www.tweakguides.com/newsarch_june06.html

There are times you remove items that have "file missing" but, not this one. It might not do any harm if you "fix" that entry but then again, the word "might" is not to be taken lightly.
