I accidentally deleted my sound driver!!!

    I accidentally deleted my sound driver from my computer and I do not have a disk for it!! Can anyone help?!

    I am running on a windows xp 2002 version!

    Go to the sound card manufacturer's website and download the driver from there.

    Also, sometimes when you have a computer from dell, or gateway, the websites they provide for support will allow you to enter the model number of your computer and then you will be able to download the appropriate driver for your sound card.

    Right-click MY COMPUTER, then click Properties - Hardware - Device Manager.

    Are there any entries that have a yellow ? or ! next to them?

    Expand the Sound Video And Game Controllers heading.

    What's listed in that heading?
