Okay, i've been to forum after forum trying to find some help and not one person has responded to my threads...if somebody on here can help me, i'll praise this site top to bottom lol!

Well, two days ago I installed the newest windows updates for my Toshiba Satellite L455D-S5976 and I have no idea what I installed, I just know that since then, my computer has been jacked up! The internet works fine and all my programs work fine, nothing is lagging or anything and i've ran both a virus scan and spyware scan and it's clean. The problem is my desktop, I guess? It's a weird problem. The best way I can describe whats going on is that when I go to click on a program from either the start menu or the desktop, it treats it as a right click and brings up the option menu like it would if you had right clicked it. I've checked the touchpad settings to see if they somehow got switched as well as uninstalled the touchpad drivers and reinstalled them...nothing has worked! Also, when I try to drag and drop things into itunes or other programs, it won't work. I can't exit out of the internet unless I minimize the screen from the taskbar and then open it back up and click the X. I have no idea why this is happening but it is driving me crazy and I'm about to pull my hair out.

On a side note, since i've bought the laptop a year ago, i've never been able to use the right click button, like it just doesn't work at all as far as bringing any options up like it's supposed to...it's never been an issue because I can always copy and paste with the keyboard, but does anyone think it may be related to the issue I'm having suddenly now? If anyone knows how to fix this problem too, i'd appreciate it as well. Thanks guys!

    Hello kayceekay01, welcome to TSG.
Have you tried running a System Restore Point with a date prior to installing the windows updates?

Thanks for the welcome and response! Yes, I actually just got done performing a system restore. I've also done it 3 other times before this time and it fails every time. I tried restoring it in safe mode and it will successfully restore it to any point after the update...if I try to put it at the point where I made the update, it fails...even in safe mode. I am totally stumped.

Sounds like all restore points prior to the updates are useless for sure.
Unfortunately I'm not one of the TSG Experts so I suggest you sit tight and wait for one of them to help you with this issue.
