I have a bog-standard set-up, using Outlook Express under Windows XP. My ISP is Pipex via Broadband (ADSL).
Three days ago I suddenly stopped being able to send emails, got the error message "Your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity. Account: 'awao38', Server: 'smtp.dsl.pipex.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0F".
Pipex claim there is no problem (they can post using my account).
I have tried disabling firewalls - does not help.
This problem occurs with two separate PC's (My pipex account has three email addresses, two on one machine and one of the other).
Anyone with any ideas?
