I tried to delete this one and put it in the 'web and email' section, I thought this might be the wrong section, oh well.

But, now I feel kinda dumb. I cant get it to come up on other computers now. My url is ProwlerConcepts.com. My host has got to be the worst hosting service EVER. They may have went down. See if you can get to it where you are. I don't have access to another computer today.

Thanks!

I can get to it with no problem. If you can't get to it from your geographical area, there may be a problem with a local router's DNS files.

If you still can't get there, try running a tracert to see where you are getting stuck.

go to the command prompt and type tracert prowlerconcepts.com

Ok, so i open up the command prompt and entered 'tracert prowlerconcepts.com'

There's a line of stuff, X ms, IP's, etc. What does all this mean?

If you copy/paste what it says here, someone can tell look at it and translate it for you.

Robert,

There are a lot of different things that could be going on here.

1) The problem doesn't seem to be related to your Bellsouth dsl. Though you've x'd out all the public ip's, you seem to be getting far enough along that the problem isn't specifically with your isp.

2) There appears to be a problem at the router where you are timing out. Usually, these sorts of problems get fixed rather quickly, but sometimes they don't. For instance, if there is a problem with that router's DNS, they may or may not notice it quickly depending upon how big the issue is.

3) You should be aware that you are sharing an IP address with about 100 other websites. For instance, this site: http://luckrestaurant.com/ and at least one site that is pornographic and also a site that advertises itself as a file swapping site. Also, there have been reports in the past that a spammer was using this IP address. None of this seems to be related to your current problem, but they do go after spammers from time to time, and if you are coincidentally associated with one by your IP it could cause you problems. In fact, any of the above could be a problem if someone is trying to access your site from behind a firewall. For instance, if a porn site's (or spammer's) IP gets blocked by a company's firewall, then your site can't be viewed by people at that company either.

Bottom line from my perspective: I really can't think of an option except for trying to wait it out or getting your host to change your IP address They also run these IPs64.185.237.87 64.185.237.88
72.232.2.186

You might see if you can get to one of those and then contact your site host and get moved to an IP you can reach.

The other possibility is to change hosts altogether. I would suggest going somewhere you can get a dedicated IP address.

If you just want to quickly go to your site in the meantime, use a proxy like ninja cloak http://www.ninjacloak.com/

Thanks for the info. I tracert those three IPs you posted. They all timed out at about 19. So pretty much I need to find an IP that doesn't time out, and see if my host can change my websites IP to that?

Your host can't do that. If you can't get to any of those IP's, then I would either wait it out or change hosts. You are going through someone who is just reselling server space. Why don't you go somewhere more traditional?

b2evolution has a pretty reliable guide to hosting. This link will get you to the inexpensive hosts page, but you can use the navi buttons to look at different options.
