So I was looking in my documents folder, and I found a folder named HyperCam3 that was created on 11/27/14. I have no recollection of downloading this. I tried to check my browser history but Google Chrome only goes back 10 weeks. The HyperCam3 folder is empty.

Is anybody stalking me? Or does this just happen to be already installed -- as I have Windows 8.1 and don't know what programs all came with it.

If you go into Programs and Features in control panel you can see the installed date. You can sort by it by date and maybe determine if it was installed with other things. Hope this helps.

If you do not remember installing it, it was likely installed "behind the scenes" when you installed another program.

As draceplace recommended -- launch Programs and Features and uninstall it if you have no use for it.

You can read about HyperCam 3 here and maybe determine how it got in your computer.
