Hi,
Win98, I E version 6
I have to make a new thread each time I post, as cant read
cookies. I have two other threads about I E 6 cookies going,
at this site.
I have been working on lost cookies about three weeks.
I feel that I have checked and re-checked, removed re-installed
Read many subjects on the problem. No one has been able to
pass on a fix.
My clock is set at the right time. First I removed Version 6, put
in Version 5.5 did not work, then Version 6 again. I have
repaired I E two or three times.
The thing that it seems to border on is, that the computer is not
putting the cookies into the directory. I have seen a couple go
into C:\windows\cookies, but the computer does not recognize
or read them. I think the ones it did put in, were the do you want to save your password for this site, when asked to sign-in.
Can anyone answer as to where in the registry is this addressed. I think the condition could be corrected if the proper value could
be put in the registry at/in the right place.
I dont know the registry very well and will not change anything
without instructions.
Thanks for any advise.
