    Hi,

    Win98, I E version 6

I have to make a new thread each time I post, as can’t read
cookies. I have two other threads about I E 6 cookies going,
    at this site.

I have been working on lost cookies about three weeks.
I feel that I have checked and re-checked, removed re-installed
Read many subjects on the problem. No one has been able to
    pass on a fix.

My clock is set at the right time. First I removed Version 6, put
in Version 5.5 did not work, then Version 6 again. I have
repaired I E two or three times.

The thing that it seems to border on is, that the computer is not
putting the cookies into the directory. I have seen a couple go
into C:\windows\cookies, but the computer does not recognize
or read them. I think the ones it did put in, were the “do you want to save your password for this site,” when asked to sign-in.

Can anyone answer as to where in the registry is this addressed. I think the condition could be corrected if the proper “value” could
be put in the registry at/in the right place.

I don’t know the registry very well and will not change anything
    without instructions.

    Thanks for any advise.

On your system, the time doesn't matter, is the year correct?
What Operating System are you running?
When did the problem start? Did you install any new programs just before?

    Hi Del,

    Thanks for the reply.

    I am using Win98, 196 mg ram, 32 g hd, I E 6.

I don't recall installing anything around the time this program changed. It was doing fine, then quit.

I have seen this question come up on several forums and so far no one has had the proper information to correct the darn thing.

Clock is set to proper time/year, looking at the face/window. I think that something changed somewhere in the control system.

I had to login just now, and I will not know if I can send until I touch the submit button. Last time it told me I was not a member. That is why I have been making new post. It will not let me reply, or hasn't before.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi Del,

Don't get any error message in the computer, the web site lets me know I am not set up to receive cookies. My slide is set to accept all cookies.

I have some sites listed in allow or trusted and they still don't recongnized me.

Read the reference you posted. The information did not apply.

    Thanks for answering.
