I cant seem to figure out why my printer isn't working right. The printer is a Canon BJC-4300, the light on the printer keeps blinking and wont stop. When i try to print it says my printer drivers aren't installed, But i installed the printer drivers, I even downloaded the newest drivers from the internet. It still didnt work right, and the light keeps blinking. Can someone help me to get my printer working? I am running windows ME and im using a Compaq computer.

    Hi there,

Which light is that blinking? Power, paper, ink or something else?

How it's connected to the computer? USB, Parallel?

Go to Control Panel/System Device Manager, check LPT1 under Ports. Does it report any errors?

    Hi,

Don't know if you've tried this already, but its worth a shot:

A flashing green light, with cartridge resting in the middle of the unit, usually indicates that the cartridge is not making proper electrical contact with the printer. The cartridge may need to be re-seated.

    Turn off the printer.
Lift the green lever and remove the cartridge.
Wipe the contacts of the cartridge gently with a dry cotton swab.
Place the cartridge back in the printer BUT DO NOT LOCK IT IN PLACE.
Without touching the cartridge, push down on the green lever to lock the cartridge in place.
    Turn on the printer.

If the cartridge still returns to the center, the cartridge may be in need of replacement. When replacing the BC21e, it is necessary to replace the whole cartridge, including Print Head (black plastic shell which contains the two ink tanks).

NOTE: It is suggested to try the cartridge on another printer, if possible, to ensure that the cartridge is no longer functioning.

There is only two buttons on the printer. The power, and the reset, And there is only one light. That one light keeps blinking green. It is hooked up correctly. I keep getting and error like this:
Not all the drivers for the LPT1 are installed. When actually all the drivers are installed. I checked the system devices and its working properly. A columbo, I tried the cartridge stuff you said and but it didn't work. Anyone gotta any other suggestions?
