i ran a scan on my PC using TREND MICRO housecall 6.5 and it found a virus that it can't delete. you guys are the best at taking care of this stuff so i came to you. :)

here's what it found:

TROJ_BRDUPDATE.D
E6F1873B.DLL found in C:\windows\system32\e6f1873B.dll

how do i remove this from my PC?

hope to hear from you soon

First, BACK EVERYTHING UP. Next, launch Windows in safe mode and run your virus scanner again. See if it will delete the file. If it doesn't, locate the file and try deleting it manually. Check out the file's properties and make sure it isn't hidden or read-only.

What ever you want to keep on your computer... that you can never get again, save to a floppy disk, cd, or flash drive.

You should have already HAD a backup. Find that file so you don't back it up and bring it back from the backup.

Me? I'm taking about not copying the file to your back up and importing it right back into your machine.
