my mute button on my laptop won't turn off and i can't hear anything from my speakers or when i plug wired headphones in the only way i can hear is when i conect my bluetooth heaphones onto it but it gets annoying
Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version 220.127.116.11What is the make and complete model number of the laptop?
Have you tried using USB speakers? Might work. <shrug>
Do you mean there is some way of telling the laptop's mute button is stuck down and that is causing the lack of sound or are you just guessing ?
What is shown in Device Manager (right-click on Start > Device Manager) under 'Audio inputs and outputs' and under 'Sound, video and game controllers' ?
Post a screenshot with those 2 items expanded please :- https://forums.techguy.org/help/screenshot/

If so, try HP's Diags (Sound) here:
the only way i can hear is if i use bluetooth or i connect my laptop to a monitor with hdmiDevice manager is showing a bluetooth headset. Is the headset paired correctly?
When you look in sound devices, have you set it as the default device?
