i have some questions about motherboards for School it assignment

    Question number 1
    I have a motherboard that supports up to 900mhz can i use a 1ghz CPU with it?

    Question Number 2
    How about 400mhz one and the same motherboard

    if u know the answer it would be much apprectiated(y)

    Not enough info. You need to post exact specs on your board. Then we could see what cpus are supported.

    You need to do your own reseach to be able to answer the questions. Otherwise you won't understand the concepts. And four years from now when you {***cough***} "earn" your degree and start working for my company I will wonder how you ever got hired.

    Generic answers without knowledge of Mother Board:
    Q1: Not without a BIOS upgrade.

    Q2: Usually yes.

    Without specs, exact answer is tough.
