I have the W32.Kwbot.C.Worm according to Norton and followed your previous instructions and ran Spybot and HiJack. The following is my saved log file from HiJack. Can you please read it and tell me what I should do? I also have my system32.exe file quarantined by Norton right now. Should I leave it there or not? Thanks, JohjePecha

Did what u said and then ran a full PC virus scan. I still have 1 infected file called cmd32.exe quarantined in Norton. I deleted the other quarantined file system32.exe. Is it safe to just delete cmd32.exe? Also ran HiJack again and here is the new log file. Thanks, JohjePecha

Well Charlie, Norton says I'm clean now so thanks. The Symantec program mentioned the virus created tons of extra files in my system theoretically. Do I need to worry about these if they even exist? Thanks for your help. JohjePecha

Well I'm happy to hear your virus woes are over. now if you want you can use JV16 reg cleaner to remove old and unused files.

Before doing any registry work be sure to create a restore point for good reason...

Would you suggest I try and remove them or is it safer to just leave them? I dont know much about the registry and am nervous messing around with it. If you think I should remove them could you tell me the best way to create a restore point? JohjePecha

Let me first say that if you're unsure of the registry and yoiur system is running well then it may be best to air on the side of caution and leave well enough alone...
