Hi, TechSupportGuy members.

My problem :

Hardware isn't at all a strength. A few days ago, I was deleteing old files from my computer. The day after I came to find I lost all sound. I checked the Control Panel and all my audio devices are "Working Properly". (Legacy Audio Drivers)

Yet, I still here nothing.

When I try and play Windows Media Player, aswell as Real I get..

Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. There may not be a sound device installed on your computer, it may be in use by another program, or it may not be functioning properly.

When I click volume control, it says I have No Active Mixer. What is that ? And what am I supposed to do.

Thanks.

If you were using winXP try doing a restore back to prior to your removal of the files.
