I recently had my computer fixed ( power port fixed, new A drive, usb port fixed and new cd-rom)and when i got it back I had to use a quick restore because my modem wasn't being detected. After the restore the modem worked and it seemed to be working. I was able to load up AOL so I could get on the net. I tried to load a few games and one of them (NHL 2003) it seemed that when i went to play it was in safe mode. The screen was larger then its normal size and as soon as I tried to play it would disappear and the computer was in safe mode. The only way to get back into normal mode was to do a step by step comformation. Once I got back into safe mode I tried another game just to see what was going on (warcraft). The game seemed to load ok but once I was in play mode it frooze but this time i was still in normal mode. I'm really at a lost as to what to do. Is something not connected? I could use a little help troubleshooting this. I'm using windows 98 but don't have a disk, the quick restore is all i have and i thought by doing that it would load the right drivers. Is there a driver I'm missing? how can I find out? Is it a graphics problem or CD-Rom deal? Any help would be appreciated!!!! Is there a way the find the drivers?
