    Hi all

I was hoping someone might help. I was reading a webpage listing XP services and which ones can be turned off to save system resources. This i did, all well and good.

Then i stuck my keyring flash drive in the USB slot and nothing came up. It has recognised my flash drive as a device by windows and comes up in the 'Safely remove hardware' list. But it does not show as a drive in explorer.

I must have turned something off that sets up the drive in explorer. Does anyone know what services are critical for a flash drive? or any cunning suggestions?

    thanks
