I just got this e-machine yesterday, & I keep getting either "enable cookies," (which I have done over and over) or "your computer does not have a cookie" messages. How do I get A cookie? If this is a silly question, it is because I know nothing about computers. I am fairly new to the internet.

How have you enabled cookies? Do you have any antispyware programs that may be blocking cookies?

someplace in internet explorer/tools/internet options/security, cookies are being blocked, even though they're enabled.

find the cookie and remove the block.

i'm not trying to be evasive but don't use vista and had to do this on a couple xppro machines to use to excite email.

if you use spybot, it'll block the cookie.

You say that you enabled cookies "over and over". Does the setting keep changing itself? How are you doing this?

you can enable cookies but if you do the repair in spybot, it blocks many of them.
