I need a desktop shortcut to a website that will open in a new window

    I got a website shortcut but it loads in the current IE window.
    Any tips?

    There are two ways to do it. The first is to go to Internet Options >advanced and take the check out of "Reuse Windows for Launching Shortcuts"


    The other is to create a new shortcut to internet explorer which opens the address. Here's an example. This opens This Forum in IE.




    Here's an example: (everything is on one line)

    "E:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE" http://forums.techguy.org/forumdisplay.php?forumid=21
