I had someone working on my computer and when they left I had an awful mess. I have microsoft money and music match just to name a few things on my system and now when I go in to post checks or go into my music match to try to make CD's I cannot see the print. It is so small. Also sometimes on my Outlook Express I cannot see the information on the first screen. How do I adjust the size of the print so that it will affect everything on my computer? I have tried everything that I can think of to adjust it. When I go to outlook express and go to a message it gives me an option to adjust the text size. and that seems to work fine, but when I go to Microsoft Money I cannot make heads or trails of anything there. I cannot make out the numbers that are there. Please help me. I know that it can't be that difficult but don't know how to change it, this shows me to leave well enough alone. Everything was fine before this person came to fix one thing and now everything is mixed up.

HELP:confused:

Whoever worked on your computer may have changed the screen resolution...which allows more stuff on the screen and, therefore, everything is smaller.

If that is what happened, here's how to fix it. Right click on an empty space on the desktop (main screen) and left click on "Properties" then click on the Settings tab.

You will see an area that says "Screen Resolutiion" with a slider above some numbers. Move the slider to the left with your mouse until the numbers are 800 X 600, then click on Apply. The screen might go to black briefly. When it comes back, things should be larger and easier to see.

I did try your suggestion and now I have things "too big" but at least I know where to go to change them. I think that I might just want to make them a bit smaller, but at least now I can see the numbers under my money program. Thanks so much for your help.

As usual you guys are great.

I tried the last suggestion from Brindle, going into the display properties and advanced tab and changed the font from there. I think so far it is working, at least I can see things that were a blur before. It is still a bit large, but at least I know where to change it from now on. Thanks so much once again for the wonderful help I get here.

I'm glad you got it sorted out, maxie. When I saw brindle's suggestion, I knew you were in good hands. :)

Thanks for posting back and letting us know you got it fixed.
