Umm? Need more info. What SP do you have and what is it you are trying to do? install the sp to Win98 and why? Systems Specs may also prove to be helpful.

Hi, Only way you can use that Service Pack 1 for winXP is to update the whole Operating System TO winXP- you buy either a full version of winXP Home Edition or XP Professional, or buy an update- the full version of any OS is usually the best way to go.
The operating system is available online from suppliers, at computer stores, etc. Again, do not try to install the SP for winXP!! It probably won't install anyway, but trouble could result!
There were some problems with the SP 1 which may or may not have been resolved- check Microsoft site for details, or perhaps others here may know, by the way there is a separate forum for winXP here. Plenty of info there if you scan through the posts, and use the Search feature to find posts about SP 1.
