I need help setting up ports for my router....plz help

    A dozen of my friends play medal of honor and only 2/24 ppl can make a server just becuase they dont have a internet router and i was wondering how i can open some ports so i can host a moh server....i have a U.S. Robotics Model 8054 Router

    i tried that just rite now and i still have no clue what i am doing :p

    My suggestion is you stay away from this project. This involves setting and internal static IP Address for the machine hosting the game and "port forwarding" all traffic that game wants on a specific port to the machine with the static address.
    Think of this as opening a door on your router to your game server and the router needs to know whihc of ~65k doors to open and where to send the traffic once the door is open.

    You could always set your game machine as a DMZ, if your router supports it... this basically creates an open channel between it and the 'net. Simple and effective. Just make sure to disable the DMZ when you're done playing.
