Can someone please look over my hijack log and tell me what I need to remove from it....my computer is running really slow and I get at least 5 popups for every page I visit. It's gotten really BAD! If there's anything else I should do I would really appreciate any suggestions! Thank you so much!

Lori

First

download AdAware 6 181
Before you scan with AdAware, check for updates of the reference file by using the "webupdate".

Then ........

Make sure the following settings are made and on -------"ON=GREEN"
From main window :Click "Start" then " Activate in-depth scan"

then......

click "Use custom scanning options>Customize" and have these options on: "Scan within archives" ,"Scan active processes","Scan registry", "Deep scan registry" ,"Scan my IE Favorites for banned URL" and "Scan my host-files"

then.........

go to settings(the gear on top of AdAware)>Tweak>Scanning engine and tick "Unload recognized processes during scanning" ...........then........"Cleaning engine" and tick "Automaticly try to unregister objects prior to deletion" and "Let windows remove files in use at next reboot"

then...... click "proceed" to save your settings.

Now to scan it´s just to click the "Scan" button.

When scan is finished, mark everything for removal and get rid of it.

then
Download Spybot - Search & Destroy from http://security.kolla.de

After installing, first press Online, and search for, put a check mark at, and install all updates.
Next, close all Internet Explorer and OE windows, hit 'Check for Problems', and have SpyBot remove all it finds that is marked in RED.

then post a new hijackthis log to check what is left, there WILL be quite a few left, so remeber to post a new log after adaware/spybot

NOTE: belt.exe we haven't been able to find anything about this one yet, but strongly suspect it to be a baddie

can you please upload a copy to http://www.lavahelp.com/submit/
so it can be examined and if bad put into the next adaware update

then to fix the O10 - Broken Internet access because of LSP provider 'lsp.dll' missing

Download LSPfix here: http://www.cexx.org/lspfix.htm
Launch run the application.

Thank you Derek! I did everything you suggested and my computer seems to be running better without so many of those annoying popup ads! There is one file on the hijacklog that I don't think I need but will ask before I delete it. It's go-zilla...I'm not sure what it is. Also, is there a good ad blocker that I can download? I had one before (cant remember the name of the program) but it slowed down my computer quite a bit so I got rid of it.

thanks for your help!

Also...I downloaded the LSPfix.exe file and when opened it lists these items in the keep column...

rnr20.dll DNS name space provider
msafd.dll (protocol handler)
rsvpsp.dll (protocol handler)

I don't know what to do after that....it has a remove column that Im guessing im supposed to pick from those files to move over to that column. Which ones do I need to move to the remove column?

thanks,
Lori

if it's in the keep column do nothing, just press finish, then the program rewrites the order in the registry & deletes the entry for the missing lsp.dll and movesd the others up a notch to keep the list in order
