I'm sorry if I posted this here. I don't know which category it should be in.

I'm having a problem with my Asus laptop. When I push the power button, it turns on, but there is no display. No logo, nothing. Just a black screen.

-I tried removing the battery and plugging the charger, nothing changes. -I've tried using an external monitor, still nothing.
-The fan is working. It's like a normal start up, but the only difference is that, there is no display.

Please help. >.<

Lets try doing a hard reset on the Laptop

This will work for Laptops that have a removable battery
Remove the Battery
Unplug the Power Adapter
Now hold the Power Button down for 60 seconds

Put JUST the power lead back into the Laptop
Start the Laptop up
If it now Starts up OK
Shut down the Laptop

Put the Battery back inot the laptop
Put the powerlead back into the laptop
Now see if laptop starts {sometime batteries can fail and stop the Laptop starting}
If the PC starts OK with the battery , then all should be fixed

I've done what you said, sir. But nothing changed. Still no display. The power went on but the screen is still black.

Whats the exact model of the ASUS
how old is it
do you know what windows version it was running

As you do not get a logo , it does sound like a hardware issue
I assume you have nothing connected to the USB ports or any other port on the laptop

usually at the logo , yo can enter the bios , but as you do not get that info

does the harddrive sound like its booting up as normal ?

if you shine a torch onto the screen , can you see windows at all , if the backlight on the screen has gone, sometimes by shining a light you will see the windows information,

I forgot the model of this laptop, it's 6 years old. Running on windows 7.

I tried using a torch to look at the screen but nothing is on the screen.

When I turn it on, the only light that turns on is the led from the power buttong and the light logo as seen in the photo.

i'm afraid you will probably need to take the machine to a local repair shop.
But get a quote, as it maybe beyond economic repair
