I Need Help!

    Hi,

    My older computer has windows 98 i am currently running windows XP and on my old computer the computer ran into come problems and hard drive "C" was formatted but the problem no is i dont have a boot disk and the message on the screen is "Invalid system Disk Replace the disk, and then press any key" i was wondering if anyone had a boot disk and could send me the contents of the disk so i could transfer it to a disk and get my old computer running again

    You can create a boot disk by downloading the correct version for your 98 system and running the setup program.

    How did you format without a boot disk?

    If you installed Windows and are getting that message do the following:

    Once the floppy has been created, try booting with it on the 98 system and at the a:\> prompt enter:

    sys c:

    You should get a message "system files transferred"

    remove the boot disk and ctrl-alt-del

    Remember you MUST use the correct version Windows boot disk for this to have a chance of working
