I cant boot windows. when i turn on the computer, it shows the windows XP screen with the scrolling green bar, then i get a blue screen saying UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME and i cant get into safe mod, or safemod with command promt or anything. however, i can put in my Knoppix CD and access the harddrive. i would like to fix this problem without having to format, but if that is what i must do, the i will do it. any help is appreciated.

    hank you
