    Hi,
when I try to play the "Shannara" game my computer flashes to the game and then the screen gets fuzzy , I can hear the music, and then the game locks up if I click my mouse... I have to do a cold reboot. I tried running the game without sound by disabling it in the DOS options, but there is no difference.

    My specs are

    Win 98
    400 MHZ Celeron HP
    192 MB Ram
32 MB Radeon 7200 SDR Vid card
    a factory sound card
I dont know the settings on my sound card,
    Lite-on CD Burner 16x10x40

I have tried using a BeeHive Boot disc. Using this, I can get the graphics to load, but no sound. And then the mouse stops working after about 10 seconds...

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Matthew Steingart

hmm that game is kinda old, i think deathdealer might be on the right track. it may have to run in dos ( to work right), it also could be that your radeon card is too new for it to use. The problem with the sound proably is that it isnt set right in the sound options, it also may be too new for the game. Also one of your other problems proably is that the right resources arent being allocated to it,even with the boot disk, which is causing it to freeze. Beyond that im not sure what to tell you, usually you just have to mess with the older games to get them to work.
