i need to pair my wireless mouse to my hp pavilion laptop how do i do it

The brand name and model number of that wireless mouse would be helpful.

hi the mouse is a hp bluetooth mouse x4000b it says windows 8 compatible will it work on at windows 7 m odel is mobtgcul and the labtop is a hp pavilion dv7-4157 cl enternainment notebook

do i need a bluetooth device and hook it up to this laptop for it to work because i dont think this laptop has a bluetooth at all i search for it and no bluetooth is found =. i did all the stuuf with what you sent me and just searches for it and nothing. ebery other thing says makes shure bluetooth is on and nowere on this computer shows anything with bluetooth? just wireless

That laptop's support site has a bluetooth software driver package in its drivers and downloads list, but that doesn't mean it has a bluetooth device.

Some devices are optional and not standard equipment in all laptops.

You should be able to look in Device Manager to see if a Bluetooth card is installed or if there is any unidentified hardware that could a Bluetooth card.
