Are you comfortable with opening the PC to ensure the cables are connected? It seriously sounds like the drive died. What make/model is the PC? Was it Win10?
Laptop drives are much less likely to come unplugged. You are probably looking at a drive replacement here. Assuming it is not under any sort of warranty, if you replace the drive, you should be able to re-install Win10 easily enough.
You realize, of course, that anything on it that had not been backed up is history. If there was anything of critical value, you may be able to send the drive off for data recovery, but that can run into some serious $$.
