I Think A Type Virus or Spyware Changed My Account Password Is it possible for a virus or spyware change the account password on my computer. If so, how come I change it back inorder to be able to get on my computer. I keep typing in my password and its not working. Either someone is playing a trick on me or something has changed my password. I can't get passed the account sign on screen. I called Compaq and got through all the security stuff, like name, address, and phone number and registration number, because I have a presario desktop computer, but they said it would cost 99 dollars to get tech support on my computer. I thought that was ridiculous, so hook up. Someone please help me. I need to find out how to change a password back after  being changed by a virus or spyware. Thanks So Much.

Welcome to the forums. Its rare that we see passwords changed by these malware. If you search the internet, you will find ways to try to change the password. I found you a link for info about it, but there are many hits for this problem. I have ERD Commander, a disk that you buy and it has a password program that resets it. Its more expensive than your phone call however.
