I think my motherboard my be fried

    I have the same computer. Sounds like BSOD to me. I have an HP Pavilion a6113w that my daughter received for a birthday present September 2007. System just crashed about 3 months ago and went to BSOD. The PC won't boot at all now, I opened up the panel and the motherboard smells like something fried on it.

    LLTJ I put this in your own thread. When you have a problem, please start your own thread. The reason for this is that with one problem/issue per thread, it is difficult at best to follow what has/has not been done. With multiple problems per thread it becomes impossible.

    The smell is usually a burnt power supply.

    That should still be under warranty from HP. Have you contacted them?
