    i use my android smartphone as my modem and i need help to configure it to make it more secure from hackers.I wanna know how to reach my modem configuration page since "192.168.1.1" is not working for me.Need help on how i should find my default gateway and configure my modem!!!

    I gets connection frm my phone via usb tethering nd i want to access my modem config pade nd wish to change default user nd pwd

    There isn't one, your phone doesn't have a modem configuration page and if you are using it with USB tethering then there is no way a hacker can 'hack' that.

    Thanks for ur reply...but when sm1 tries to break into a system first he should get thru the router in which ppl doesnt even bother to change their config...all of em uses their default that is admin admin or password...so i just thought i wanted to change

    You don't have a router, you have a phone.

    Most people do not have remote administration enabled on their router so having the default username and password doesn't matter that much. It's usually a security flaw that is exploited to gain access to the router from the internet, on the internal LAN most people have a wireless password that keeps people out.

    Make sure you have a firewall enabled on your computer.
