i want my privacy:(:(!!!

    i was just wondering me and my brother share one computer right, and i was just wondering since i have my own user name and my brother has is own user name how do i make it so that the stuff i download on my user , doesn't show up on his user as well??? and how do i make sure that he can't use any of the programs i download under my user name???

    if you are using w2k with NTFS then create a dir and change the permissions so only you have access, unless he is the admin he cannot get in

    store all your peronal stuff here

    also you should both have diiferent my document folders, check the permissions on your and change accordingly

    i am using windows XP i dont know anything about this NTFS??
    i just want to run a simple task i dont want my brother to access some of the programs that i have running or files that i have on my user ,from his user that is all:D

    and my friend said sumting about doing it in CONTROL PANEL or sumting ???!!!! ( i can't see to get intouch with him since he's gone to ENGLAND)

    control panel/user accounts

    you can create folders which only you have access to;)

    Double click My Computer. Click once to highlight your harddrive. Look in the lower left side. It will say either NTFS or FAT32. If it's FAT32, then nothing you can do about permissons on folders.

    what if i have 3 users on one computer ie (1st user is me,2nd user is my brother and 3rd user is ???)

    what if i want only my brother to view some of the programs i have on my user and not the 3rd user??? is there anyway i can do that ???


    and is there a way i can do that like left click on tha program or sumting like that to share it or not to share it with other users???


    (ie.under my user name i created a file called "Music"! and i want my brother to only use it, but not the 3rd user how can i do that??


    or, if i have a program under my user that i dont want anyone else to use except me how do i do that ??


    (ie.i have a file callled "games" under my user but i dont want anyother users to play the games inside how do i do that?)


    sorry for all these questions:( i just like my privacy:)
