I would like to learn Flash I can do some basic stuff like move a ball across the screen but I want more. Should I take a class or is there a book any good tutorials. Is action scripting more important then just using the GUI?

action scripts can do things like hyperlinking or playing a video onload, etc.

I think the Adobe website has some tutorials about Flash you could look at.

I use have tried flash mx. but I like swish max as it is very easy to use. and learn. the interface may have been a little dull compare to flash but trust me you'll like swish.

yet to compare in power and the flexibility, I can't comment on that.

If you still insist on using flash 8 (not wanting to waste the amount of money invested on it)
    go to. http://www.tutorialized.com

    www.actionscript.org
