    Hello
Can anyone help, I have a problem with my IBM R51 laptop, when I shutdown or hibernate it will not boot up just the fan runs no screen!! After 1 hour or more it boots up OK. I have checked for virus and disk problems. Many thanks.

Is it getting hot? Overheating - really warm to the touch? Have you checked to see if the temps are rising?

I'm wondering if you don't have a psu or memory problem. Jazz

May well be. How about heading over to PC Wizard and let's see if it id's anything. http://pc-wizard-2008.en.softonic.com/ Download and run it. You'll see icons on the left side and each will id a certain part of the system works. It can sometimes spot hardware and software issues. Let me know...Jazz

Moving on with this problem if I tap the base on booting up it starts loading I guess it could be something loose inside the laptop if thats possible! The pc wizard showed nothing sinister!!!! thanks for your help.
