icewind dale 2 help

My pc took a dump and I had to have a clean install. Now after installing my game of icewind dale 2 (twice) my party will not go thru any doors. I have a ultra amd 64 2800 proc
512 mb ram
40 gb hd
win xp fully updated.
All my other games work fine. I just don't know what happened to this one any ideas???

Maybe if you patch it it will work ok.

I just did and that didn't work either. Any other suggestions? It's like the characters don't even recognize there is a door there. The space doesn't exist.
