There is an icon on my desktop which I cannot delete. It is for a local disk which I have recently re-named. The error report is " no longer located in (then it gives the location where the icon was located). The icon is no longer located there. I have used the command prompt to look at the directory and the icon IS no longer there, so the report is correct. The fact is an icon of that name doesn't exist anywhere on the computer, because I actually changed the name of the hard disk (but not the drive letter) to which it referred. It is very annoying, but doesn't seem to cause any other problems as the re-named disk is present and works perfectly.
Any suggestions?
