Im not sure where to start but I know I need help soon. My problems really started a few months ago and have steadly gotten worse. Everyone I have gone to for help has managed to make things worse or were no help, so here goes. After installing AOL 7.0 started getting error message didnt really affect anything untill I went from phone modem to cable modem. When the cable hook up was finished my icons started to move around on their own every time I tried to click on one, then came the new error messages (to long and many to list here) Then when I went to upgrade the AOL to 8.0 a whole new set of error messages started to appear. I have one week to get this whole problem fixed as I start my next semester for school with a couple of online classes.

    Hi and welcome to TSG.

These are symptoms of the magistr virus. You need to get it removed asap as it can cause even more serious trouble if left on the machine:

You must not have an antivirus program that has been updated in a couple of years.

Please try a free online scan from one of these two vendors

And give us a post of your startups using the StartupList application from the site below. Just download, unzip and run it. Then copy/paste the results to a reply.
