Can anyone tell me what I can do to get my icons to work??? When I double click on an I icon it doesn't do anything and when I right click it, it use to say "open" then "explore" at the top of the list and it doesn't have that any more. It leaves those two options out and starts with "send to"... If I right click on an icon then click on properties the window will open and i can click on find target. When I do this it opens a new window in which i click on the high lighted file it starts the program. I have tryed makeing new icons from that file but it doesn't work and when I click on START, PROGRAM, WINDOWS EXPLORE or any other program or file in the programs list it gives a little window saying "The object that 'C:\WINDOWS\Desktop\Windows Explorer.ink' refers to has been removed or is unaccessible". Any Help or Information on a solution to this problem other than reinstalling Windows will be greatly appreciated. (I am running Windows 98 SE, 256 RAM

Windows has a program that you can download, it's called TweakUI. It has a section that will repair your icons and associations. I would also run spybot/adaware and then reboot. It's a good place to start ;)
