How do you remove the invalid icons from the control panel applet after an uninstall? I have some icons from norton and mcaffee etc... that are still in the control panel after uninstalling??

Use Find files to do a search for *.cpl

This will bring up all the control panel extensions which are in c:\windows\system.

You need to determine which ones are for the icons you want to delete. You can just click on them one at a time to see if they open. If the program has been removed, you will get a file missing message.

Just use tweak ui and it'll do it for you if you're unsure about deleting stuff manually
