I am using Win XP SVP 3 on Acer Aspire One Netbook.

I can't get my icons to show with the correct image. Did a search in the forums which go back to 2007. Thought maybe you would have something up-to-date.

Why are they not showing up with the correct image. Do I need to do a repair ? I have my automatic updates on and wondering they that is the cause. Uploaded a sample for you (see attachment). I need a fix.

kokozmom, Right click your Desktop, choose Properties, under the Settings tab change the Color Quality from 32 bit to 16 bit, click Apply/OK then restart your computer. Now go back and change the Color Quality from 16 bit to 32 but, click Apply/OK and restart your computer. This will rebuild the iconcache.db file and may correct your icon problem.
