    RUNNING WINDOWS ME
    ICONS ON THE DESKTOP HAVE THE ADMINISTRATIVE FOLDER ICON IN FRONT OF THEM. IF YOU DELETE THE ICON AND TRY TO CREATE ANOTHER ONE THE SAME THING COMES UP. YOU CAN SEE THE ICON IN THE BACK BUT THE FRONT OF IT STILL HAS THE OLD HAMMER AND WRENCH THERE.

    To try the simplest fix first, do a search for "shelliconcache" and when (or if) it's found, delete it. When you reboot, Windows will build a new, uncorrupted one.
