I am looking at installing a CD/RW on an old AMD 333mhz, some drives list EIDE interface, some "standard IDE or IDE interface.
They seem to interchange in the installation manuals. Does it make any diference?
My mobo manual lists under features-"PCI Enhanced IDE built on board", then "supports 4 IDE hdds", and "supports IDE interface with CD-ROM", but no other mention of EIDE. Will it support an EIDE interface drive, or will i need some kind of controller card with EIDE? Only name I see on this mobo book is MB-8500TVX, its a socket 7 board.
