I was looking at buying a new hard drive (Maxtor L01P120 7200 RPM 120 GB Hard Drive DiamondMax Plus U133) and noticed that the connector is a 40-pin IDC. Does this have anything to do with the number of pin holes in the IDE port? Mine has 39. Thanks.

Not to worry, one pin is left out for keying. It's the correct drive. :D
