I have IE 5.5SE and I'm unable to bring up the source under view for all sites. In tools/internet options/programs, the HTML editor is the Window notepad. It just plain doesn't work.

I've done a repair on the IE 5.5, but thats a waste of time.

Any thoughts on the problem would be deeply appreciated. Thanks.

Do you receive an error or does just nothing happen?

The most frequent cause of this is too many Temporary Internet files in your Internet Explorer cache.

Go To Tools/Internet Options, and select 'delete files'.

If this doesn't work, by all means check out DoyceJ's links.

And there could be a restriction in place: if all fails, go to Start/run, and type Regedit.
Go to Edit/Find, and search for a DWORD noviewsource. If that exists, delete it or set it to 0.

    Good luck

to angel: no error, just nothing happens.

to DoyceJ: Thanks for the support sites.

to TonyKlein: I tried the "delete files" and it worked.

Thanks to all who contributed to this problem.
