Hey guys, I've been posting for the past few days about this problem. I can't download any sort of file off the net, my mouse starts stuttering after a few minutes and as of today I get IE illegal operations complete with BSOD. On a hunch I bought some extra memory just to be sure, but it still does the same thing even with 504mb of RAM.

Is it possible to delete/reinstall IE 5 or 5.5? Please help, this is scary.

IF YOU ARE SURE THAT YOU HAVE NOT A VIRUS OR SPYWARE

1)Try from Control panel -add/remove programs( if it is listed there).
You will have a repair option,if you click add/remove button.

2)You can try Windows Update for IE 5.5 SP2

    3) (and my preference) Download another browser like Phoenix 0.5,
    Opera 6.05,Mozilla 1.2.1
All these are better than IE.

Well, I tried that but IE isn't listed in the add/remove section, and I can't download any files at all off the net, so I can't check for spyware.

What exactly happens when you try to download something?

Also, you say you've been posting about this issue before.

It would then be wise to continue in the original thread, as we haven't a clue as to what you've already tried, and to what avail.
